When we set about designing and developing Cherry Tree Lodge, one of the main questions that we kept on asking ourselves was - "When we retire, what sort of place would we like to live in?" The result can be found in the following library of pictures. |

Our stained glass entrance hall is original to the property. It is a nice wide doorway with wheel chair access ramps should they be required. The picture frame hanging on the wall in the entrance hall contains pictures of all of our staff so that our residents can get to know who they are. |
| Our main lounge, where our residents can relax in the company of others when they do not wish the privacy of their own room. It is tastefully decorated throughout, and our high backed chairs are designed for both comfort and ease of use. Access doors from both sides make it easily accessible from either side of the lodge. | ![]() |

It is in this main lounge where our residents can watch communal television. Each bedroom does have its own TV, but there are times when watching a program in company can be more fun. The main lounge TV also has a video and communal film watching is a common occurrence. You can read, play cards, chat, or just relax in the knowledge that others are close at hand and our staff are are always there should they be required. |
| From its entrance in the main lounge our residents can enjoy the heated conservatory where they can relax in comfort with the full advantage of daylight to read by, and the view of the front gardens which are also accessible to our residents. Our gardens are well maintained and present the eyes with the peaceful scenes of greenery in winter and colours in the summer. | ![]() |

Apart from adding handrails for safety, our wide staircases are original to the house. Cherry Tree Lodge has two staircases - one at either end of the house so that access to the upper floor is easy from any position. |
| Although one may get used to seeing such things after a while, we have paid great attention to the detail of the decor throughout Cherry Tree Lodge. Our magnificent carved wooden dolphin suite is just one eye-catching feature. | ![]() |

All of our rooms are tastefully and elegantly decorated. We have kept a fine balance between aesthetically pleasing features and practicality. All rooms are en-suite. |
|
Another view of one of our rooms with its spacious bay windows. More than half of our rooms are now fitted with telephone sockets so that residents may, if they wish have their own telephone so that they can chat in private rather than use the communal telephone which is downstairs. |

We try to keep our residents private rooms as homely as possible. They are not just a bedroom with a wardrobe as many other residential homes are. |
|
Here is a view of another room with skylights, set up as the resident has chosen. All rooms are en-suite with toilet and washbasin facilities and seven of them also have a shower installed. |

Even our smaller rooms are tastefully decorated and well managed. |

The dining area has large double doors for easy access and is bright and cheerful, having two large windows to the rear. Wine glasses at the ready for our Sunday luncheon. When not being used for eating purposes, the dining room is open for our residents use should they wish to sit at a table for a game or for any other purpose. Our residents can use all of the available facilities when and as they choose, as they would in their own home. |

It may be considered unusual to show a photograph of a ceiling, but the ceiling of our dining room deserves one. Its hand-painted elegant design is a delight to the eyes. |
| Elegance tempered with practicality is how Cherry Tree Lodge has been structured. It is after all, home to those who reside here. And we go to great lengths to make it feel like home for them. | ![]() |
