All the 25 rooms at Cherry Tree Lodge are different from each other in many respects, small to very large, different locations within the home and whilst all having private en-suite facilities of toilet and sink , eleven now have private showers or bath. All our rooms have been individually rated to take into account their various features which I believe is fair.

All rooms which become vacant for any reason are firstly available to our existing residents who may wish to upgrade or downgrade for whatever reason. Generally most residents become very happy with their original choice of room and thereafter do not wish to move to another room when available.

We have recently increased the number of rooms by developing the top floor of No 42. This floor is not serviced by a lift . Anyone who can manage one flight of stairs will in fact get a bargain because the rooms on that floor have been reduced by 4%.

Our Fees page shows an updated list of all the present rooms and their new fee levels so that everybody knows where the stand regarding personal room choice. The base rate from 04/04/11 is £470.93. Using this as a base all rooms have then been multiplied by their respective percentage rating over and above the most basic room.

Like other good rest homes, we provide all of the basic requirements to a high standard.

The home is located near Hesketh Park (click here for map) and the Municipal Golf Course, close to the Promenade, on a quiet road and is near a bus stop to the town centre.

Set behind an attractive garden, the home is within two well built beautiful Victorian buildings, which have retained most of their original grand character.

With the full consent and involvement of the Resident (and family if appropriate), a comprehensive assessment of the residents abilities, needs and wishes is undertaken. This will result in a very detailed care plan.

We have a Residents Committee and we organize various entertainments, activities and recreation in accordance with our residents requirements.

All bedrooms are en-suite and furnished and decorated to a high standard. Free remote control televisions are provided. There is a wide choice of single rooms, small, medium and large.

For those who need it, free home transport and escort is provided to attend medical appointments.
